Zorro's Steakhouse

Zorros Steakhouse
If your looking for fine dining in The GTA, be sure to check out Zorros Steakhouse at 7171 Torbram Rd. Mississauga
I find that this Steakhouse is the best place for a Romantic Dinner,  this fine establishment is quiet and demands a more collective clientele. Being one of select few upscale restaurants in the area, the staff are very helpful, and if you forgot your jacket and shoes, you can rent them at the front.
1.    My favourite at any steakhouse would have to be a New York steak ,with Potatoes, this is served with garlic bread and a salad, the steak is cooked to your your preference.

2.    It would be a crime if I forgot to mention the Shrimp Scampi, this is cooked to perfection in the most delicious wine sauce and the staff were very helpful and accurate with wine selection.

Drupatis Doubles and Roti

I woke up this morning with an insatiable appetite, on the search for Breakfast meals in Brampton, I stumbled upon Drupatis Double and Roti shop.

This Brampton gem is located at 168 Kennedy rd. This take out spot specialize in Trinidadian dishes and Caribbean food. One of my favourite breakfast dishes is Doubles, (chutney Split peas in between 2 delicious breads called bara.) Drupati’s is famous for these.

Well, here are some of the Caribbean foods  that I had the opportunity to try, all were delicious, and a little bit spicy, but full of flavor.
Here are the two Dishes I have had the pleasure of eating here:
1.    Doubles –Although spicier than bacon and eggs(you have the option of a less spicy rendition) Nothing will wake you up better than the this combination of spices giving you an authentic flavour of the west indies

2.    Pholourie– The bara that is usually made for the doubles breading is balled and fried, like Timbits, but with turmeric, this is served with a sweet and spicy sauce by the name of tamarind sauce.

Since your familiarizing with Brampton’s ethnic Foods, what is your favourite Take out Caribbean food place in Brampton?

168 Sushi Buffet

Have you ever been to the Buffet of Buffets??

One of my favorite types of restaurants is a buffet, and I think I found the best place yet! I stopped at 168 over the weekend. 168 is a sushi buffet that not only serves sushi, but other seafood buffet options and fried foods as well. I was very pleased at the quick service and wide variety of foods they offered. I was shocked at the efficiency of their ipads provided for quick and convenient ordering options. With the restaurant being centered in the heart of Brampton, it is a prime location for not only locals Brampton residence but also tourists into the city considering the restaurant is close to the highway. I left the restaurant with a full belly and a smile on my face.

You won’t know until you try it yourself.

spring rolls

Spring Rolls

Is it possible to mix two of the greatest dining experiences buffet and fine dining and have a successful restaurant?

All images licensed under Spring Rolls 2014

The answer somehow is yes it can be a successful restaurant as we can see with Spring Rolls. The restaurant is very sophisticated and well-kept; and the food is nothing less than you would expect from a fine dining restaurant. The buffet menu is vast and has all of the sushi and South Asian favorites you expect from a high class establishment. Being able to come here and enjoy exquisite tastes and textures at a buffet menu is a very welcome change. This is hands down one of my favorite places to eat, and I know if you give it a try it will stay at the top of your fine dining restaurant list as well!

You decide. What is a better dining experience: fine ding restaurants or buffet menu based restaurants?
